Director Vijay, who was granted a divorce earlier this year, has refuted rumours that he plans to remarry in the near future. He also requested the press to report from responsibly, and said in a press statement:
To my dismay i found that In certain section of media there were some fabricated rumours on my remarriage. This is baseless. These sort of un checked and un authorised informations disturb me a lot. Media had been largely instrumental in my growth, and i feel i have the moral right to ask them to avoid such “Rumours” . My commitment to the audience and the media is films of substance, and i will strive hard to deliver it .
Reports of the director’s impending marriage to Keerthy Suresh, who made her Tamil cinema debut with Vijay’s Idhu Enna Maayam, have been in circulation for a while now.
Director Vijay was formerly married to actress Amala Paul. The couple divorced earlier this year.
