Vikranth has reportedly signed on for the sequel of Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu. The actor previously collaborated with the film’s director, Suseenthiran, for Pandianadu, as well as signed on for a major role in his upcoming bilingual with Sundeep Kishan.
Suseenthiran’s spokesperson told Silverscreen, “Suseenthiran has scripted the sequel, but will not direct it, owing to his other commitments. Instead, an associate of Suseenthiran has been approached to helm the project. All details will be confirmed soon.”

Actor Kishore is on-board for the film. He played the coach of the rag-tag Kabaddi team in the first film. According to reports, most of the actors from the first film will return for the sequel as well. The team is currently on the lookout for a suitable female lead for the project.
Suseenthiran began his career with Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu. The film, about a team of Kabaddi enthusiasts from a small town near Palani, went on to become a success at the box office. It received much critical acclaim as well. It marked the acting debut of Vishnu Vishal, a close friend of actor Vikranth.
