Shoot for Vishal’s Irumbu Thirai sequel will begin only next month, official sources say. The film has not been titled yet. This comes after multiple reports said that the actor had already begun shooting for the sequel.
Talking to Silverscreen, an official spokesperson for Vishal said “Vishal is currently in Turkey shooting for the Sundar C film. He will be back only by the end of the month.” He also denied rumours that the film will be titled Irumbu Thirai 2. “As of now, the movie does not have a title.” The sequel, produced by Vishal, is likely to go on floors by the next month, confirmed the source. It will be directed by newcomer Anand.
“Further details will be revealed only after Vishal returns to the country,” the source added. The original movie, directed by debutant filmmaker PS Mithran, dealt with cybersecurity. Apart from Vishal, the movie featured Samantha as a therapist, and Arjun as the antagonist. Irumbu Thirai went on to become a hit at the box office.
Meanwhile, production on Sundar C’s film with Vishal began in March. The yet-to-be-titled movie features Aishwarya Lekshmi and Tamanna who will reportedly be playing a negative role. The film made headlines when Vishal suffered an injury while shooting a chase sequence in Turkey. However, he resumed shooting after a few days.
