Actor Vishnu Vishal will play the lead in upcoming film Kadhanayagan. This is the actor’s second production under his banner VV Studios. The Tamil – Telugu bilingual will be a comedy entertainer, along the lines of Vishnu’s last release. Vishnu Vishal has secured the film’s title from actor Pandiarajan who made a film of the same name in 1988.
Actress Catherine Tresa will play the female lead, while actors Anandaraj and Soori don important roles. Sean Roldan has been signed on as the music composer for this movie. The film will be directed by Muruganandham, known for his roles in Kaashmora and Idharku Thaane Aasaipattai Balakumara, and is currently being filmed in areas in and around Chennai. Plans are to release the film in May 2017.

Vishnu Vishal’s last release was the comedy caper Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran, for which he teamed up with director Ezhil. At present, Vishnu is looking forward to the release of Maaveeran Kittu, in which he plays a young Tamil man who fights for the rights of his people. Directed by Suseenthiran, the film’s audio was launched last week.
He also has Ratchasan with director Ram. The duo had earlier collaborated for 2014’s surprise hit Mundasupatti. Ratchasan is said to be a crime thriller.
