The film was announced last year around May and the makers went on to reveal the crew members of the team gradually after they had wrapped up the shoot in November. Sujith Sarang is on the camera, Sreejith Sarang is on the edit, and Vasudevan is on art. Thamarai, Keerthi, and Kaber Vasuki have been roped in for penning the lyrics.
While the cast hasn’t been announced, the makers revealed the character names of the core cast along with a cute illustration of the actors, their characteristics, likes, and dislikes. The characters include Anu, Catherine, Chinese, Durai, Naushad, Francis, Rekha, Richard, Srivatsav, Su, Thirumal, Vicky, and Vinoth.

Kishen Das, the son of popular TV actress Brinda Das plays one of the characters in the film. He earlier essayed a small role in Ajith starrer Nerkonda Paarvai.
Speaking about the film, a source privy to the developments earlier told Silverscreen that the film will be a pleasant throwback to school life in the 90s. “Mudhal Nee Mudivum Nee will be a character-driven film. Every character dealt with is extremely special in its own way and will surely resonate with audiences. MNMN would be one of the very few films where all characters make a mark with their screen presence,” said the source.
Mudhal Nee Mudivum Nee is in the final stages of post-production.
