Singer and RJ Suchitra Karthik’s Twitter account, which has been at the eye of a storm for past nine days, was finally deleted on Saturday. Although there appears to be an account with the handle – @SingerSuchi – with over a 100k followers that dates back to 2014, the original remains deleted triggering a wave of fake accounts with variations on the spelling of her name – all claiming to be the real Suchitra.
A series of bizarre and controversial posts had been tweeted out from the account since February 23. While some alleged that it was the act of a hacker, and others claim that it was done by Suchitra herself.

A simple search for Suchithra Karthik or #SuchiLeaks on Twitter reveals the innumerable fake as well as fan accounts with screenshots of images from the real account.
Interestingly, in the last 24 hours, various accounts claiming to be Suchithra, were trending at least 20 times.

Two newly created accounts, claiming to be the real Suchithra, have garnered more than 10 thousand followers overnight. The Cyber Crime Cell, Chennai, has deleted some of the impersonator accounts.

Suchithra’s Twitter activities has been suspicious since last month when she allegedly tweeted about actor Dhanush, composer Anirudh Ravichander, and singer Chinmayee conspiring against her and harming her. From a vague clarification from her estranged husband Karthik Kumar on her mental health, to her claiming that it was all done by a hacker, there is still no concrete answer on who is operating these accounts now.

Thus far, the numerous Twitter accounts continue to re-post the same intimate pictures of Kollywood celebrities, and has even scheduled an update on more pictures and videos for next week.
