Actors Dileep and Kavya Madhavan were married this morning at a hotel in Kochi. The two have been friends and colleagues for a long time. The function was modest and attended by the duo’s close friends and relatives. A reception will be held in Dubai for the film fraternity soon, a source close to Dileep said.
The movie is set in an erstwhile Kerala, when unemployment was at its peak and many migrated to the Gulf countries in search of a better life. Dileep plays Purushothaman Nair, an unemployed 31-year-old man, married to a school teacher, Devi (Kavya Madhavan), and father to a cheerful 6-year-old, Revathi (Akshara Kishore).
Much to the dismay of Gowda’s grandson Thammanna (Thamme Gowda), who is also the family’s cash-strapped breadwinner, the villagers decide to bid him a grand farewell. His sole ray of hope is his grandfather’s five acre land, which he plans to sell before his relatives can interfere. But, it is no easy task.

And, he came armed with a lovely gift for the fresh graduates: an offer to score music for their short films. For free. “Nammellam ore kuttaila irukka mattai. We have to help each other. Form groups and make a 10-minute short film. I will score the music for all of them on the spot.”
Bob Dylan is the recipient of the 2016 Nobel Prize for Literature. He is the first musician to be awarded the Literature Nobel. Dylan’s name had been mentioned as a contender in the Nobel race for years, but few experts expected the academy to extend the prestigious award to a genre such as pop music.
