Actor Suriya recently confirmed that he plays a Special Protection Officer, who is part of the Indian armed forces, in KV Anand’s upcoming directorial Kaapaan. He also confirmed that Mohanlal is a Prime Minister in the film.
Bollywood choreographer Ganesh Acharya will choreograph a song for the upcoming KV Anand–Suriya film Kaappaan. Also starring Mohanlal and Arya, the movie features Sayyeshaa in the female lead.

There has been quite a buzz about Ko-2, the sequel to Ko, a 2011 blockbuster directed by KV Anand. The title logo of the film was released yesterday and the first look will be released this week.
Om Prakash’s visuals are pleasing on the eye and he ensures that KV Anand’s trademark riot of colours are maintained, especially the Burma flashback sequences. Watching the movie in Dolby Atmos is an added pleasure. The first half seems a tad slow, while the second half keeps the viewers totally focussed.
To conclude, “Anegan” is a brilliant attempt by KV Anand, he tried a new visual style to tell his story and to an extend he was successful too. “Anegan” is a onetime watchable flick and if you are a Dhanush fan you might hit theatres twice or more.
When it comes down to the minus, KV Anand and his team of writers turn down the film with erroneous writing. The screenplay drops down with slow momentum and there is lack of emotions with the romantic part except the Burma and Vyasarpadi. The logics turn up disappointing as certain things could have been very well justified. Moreover, the great performances and really appreciable theme is turned down by these diminishing elements.
Kudos to KV Anand and the writing team for taking unconventional platforms to narrate some familiar stories. The movie stands tall for the painstaking level of details and attention to tie the loose-ends without underestimating audience intelligence. Go watch it.
Kudos to Om Prakash for wonderfully aiding KV Anand with the visuals. The film has a rich and vibrant Bollywood feel overall with a special mention to the songs. The cuts are decently done in a film which could have easily been spoiled by bad editing. Harris Jayaraj’s music is apt and is thankfully not overdone at any point.
Nikki Galrani will star opposite Bobby Simha in an upcoming film. The actress, who will make her Tamil film debut with Darling, has signed on to play the female lead in the yet-untitled film. According to a report in The Times of India, Nikkil will essay a ‘girl next door’ kind of character. The film has a ‘political subject’ and is set to be directed by newcomer Mathivanan, a former associate of KV Anand. The movie will be shot mostly in and around Chennai and Pondicherry. Shooting will begin in March 2015.

Dhanush is currently filming the remaining two songs for his upcoming movie, Anegan. “Back to the sets of Anegan – song shoot! What fun,” he tweeted last night. We had earlier reported that director KV Anand has chosen a sprawling farm in Puducherry as the backdrop for one of his songs – and turns out that’s where the team is based right now. A few climax scenes will also be shot there, post which the entire unit will fly to Scotland to film the other number.
Shankar Mahadevan’s sings a song in Anegan that features Vairamuthu’s lyrics, set to Harris Jayaraj’s tune. Director KV Anand, who was present at the recording, was moved enough to tweet – “Sync of good music, lyrics and voice is magical!”
According to reports, the Dhanush – Amyra Dastur starrer, Anegan, is nearing completion. The KV Anand directorial went on floors in September last year and apparently, around ninety percent of the movie is already complete. Harris Jayaraj is composing for the movie and singer/music director Bhavathirini has been roped in to croon for a track. The song, Aathadi Aathadi, features the lyrics of Vairamuthu and will have a “totally different sound”, according to the composer.
