Fans Asked To Choose Title For ‘Suriya 37’

KV Anand wants the fans to decide the title of his next with Suriya. The director has started a poll on his social media account and has asked fans of Suriya to pick the best title for the film. The three options mentioned are Meetpaan, Kaappaan, Uirka. All three reflect the attitude of the film. Sources say that Suriya essays the role of a bodyguard in the film while Mohanlal plays the Prime Minister.

Sun Music VJs Draw Condemnation For Mocking Suriya’s Height

In a segment that aired earlier today on the Sun Music television channel, two video jockeys –  Sangeetha and Nivedhitha – joked about actor Suriya Sivakumar’s height, drawing loud condemnation from the Tamil film fraternity. Discussing Suriya’s upcoming films, the hosts discussed how Amitabh Bachchan has been approached to act in Suriya’s next film directed by KV Anand and wondered aloud about how the two would look together on screen, with remarks about high-heeled shoes and exaggerated neck stretching to get their point across.

Vijay Sethupathi’s Film With Gokul Titled ‘Junga’

Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi has a slew of films coming up this year, including Karuppan, a rural entertainer directed by R Paneerselvam, starring Lakshmi Menon, Bobby Simhaa, and Kishore.  His recent film Kavan, was released last week, directed by KV Anand.He is also likely to star in director Cheran’s comeback film.  He also has Vikram Vedha with Madhavan, written and directed by Pushkar and Gayathri.

When it comes down to the minus, KV Anand and his team of writers turn down the film with erroneous writing. The screenplay drops down with slow momentum and there is lack of emotions with the romantic part except the Burma and Vyasarpadi. The logics turn up disappointing as certain things could have been very well justified. Moreover, the great performances and really appreciable theme is turned down by these diminishing elements.

Nikki Galrani Bags Film Opposite Bobby

Nikki Galrani will star opposite Bobby Simha in an upcoming film. The actress, who will make her Tamil film debut with Darling, has signed on to play the female lead in the yet-untitled film. According to a report in The Times of India, Nikkil will essay a ‘girl next door’ kind of character. The film has a ‘political subject’ and is set to be directed by newcomer Mathivanan, a former associate of KV Anand. The movie will be shot mostly in and around Chennai and Pondicherry. Shooting will begin in March 2015.

The audio of Dhanush’s Anegan will release on November 10. Directed by KV Anand, the movie features Dhanush, Bollywood actress Amyra Dastur and actor Karthik, who makes a comeback. Harris Jayaraj has composed music and AGS Entertainment has produced the film. Anegan features Dhanush and Amyra in multiple looks. The flick is likely to release in the last week of November.

Anegan Teaser This Deepavali

Starring Dhanush, Amyra Dastur and veteran actor Karthik in lead roles, the film has KV Anand at the helm and is said to have a premise spanning four different time periods.According to her, the teaser of the film will be unveiled on October 22, and the date of the audio launch will also be announced around the same time.

Mani Ratnam Lauds Jigarthanda

Mani Ratnam was all praise for Karthik Subbaraj after he watched Jigarthanda. According to the film’s cinematographer Gavemic U Ary, the veteran filmmaker sent a message to Karthik congratulating him on the movie’s success.

The past week has been a good one for Karthik Subbaraj. Jigarthanda received positive response from all quarters, with KV Anand, Shankar and PC Sreeram praising the filmmaker earlier this week . According to the movie’s PR, Karthik and his team are said to be overwhelmed by the praise and encouragement and are on ‘cloud nine’ right now.

Dhanush Filming Songs for Anegan

Dhanush is currently filming the remaining two songs for his upcoming movie, Anegan. “Back to the sets of Anegan – song shoot! What fun,” he tweeted last night. We had earlier reported that director KV Anand has chosen a sprawling farm in Puducherry as the backdrop for one of his songs – and turns out that’s where the team is based right now. A few climax scenes will also be shot there, post which the entire unit will fly to Scotland to film the other number.

Dhanush’s Anegan is Almost Done

According to reports, the Dhanush – Amyra Dastur starrer, Anegan, is nearing completion. The KV Anand directorial went on floors in September last year and apparently, around ninety percent of the movie is already complete. Harris Jayaraj is composing for the movie and singer/music director Bhavathirini has been roped in to croon for a track. The song, Aathadi Aathadi, features the lyrics of Vairamuthu and will have a “totally different sound”, according to the composer. Cinematographer Om Prakash pans the camera while noted writing duo SuBa handles the dialogues.
