The remake is expected to go on floors in early 2016, and will be directed by Chandoo Mondeti. The film will be produced by S Radha Krishna, who has previously financed films like Julayi and S/O Satyamurty. The team is currently finalising the remaining cast. Premam is a coming-of-age romantic comedy revolving around the protagonist (Nivin Pauly) at different stages of his life for over a decade.
