Naga Chaitanya To Star In Premam’s Telugu Remake

Actor Akkineni Naga Chaitanya will star in the Telugu remake of the Malayalam film Premam, which is still running to full houses across the country. The remake is expected to go on floors in early 2016, and will be directed by Chandoo Mondeti. The film will be produced by S Radha Krishna, who has previously financed films like Julayi and S/O Satyamurty. The team is currently finalising the remaining cast. Premam is a coming-of-age romantic comedy revolving around the protagonist (Nivin Pauly) at different stages of his life for over a decade.

Samantha – Naga Chaithanya Movie Dropped

Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s film with fiance Naga Chaithanya has been shelved. The film was to be directed by Trivikram. According to a recent report in DC, the actors could not allot dates for the film. With Samantha – Chaithanya’s marriage fixed for the end of this year, it was decided to drop the project altogether, a source close to the actors said.

Naga Chaitanya and Shruti Haasan, lead actors of the Telugu remake of the Malayalam film Premam, are being mobbed by hundreds of students at the Andhra University in Vishakhapatnam, where the filmmakers are canning the college portions of the film. “The atmosphere in the university is electric. Hundreds of students are around them on the sets on all days while a few of them are constantly clicking pictures. I know it’s crazy, but at the same time so much fun,” Chaitanya Krishna, who plays one of Naga Chaitanya’s friends told Silverscreen.in. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film also stars Anupama Parameswaran. Aisha Sharma is under consideration for the third role, originally played by Madonna Sebastian. Shruti reprises Sai Pallavi’s role, while Anupama plays her character in the original.

Actor Akkineni Nagarjuna will start shooting for the third season of Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu, the Telugu version of the popular Hindi show Kaun Banega Crorepati, from October. While the exact dates are still being worked out, he will be shoot 60 episodes for this season. Nagarjuna told Silverscreen that he considers the opportunity to host the show a life-altering one, because it enables him to touch so many people’s hearts.
