Trisha To Be Called ‘Padayappa Trisha’ In Nayaki

She might be 50 films old, but Trisha is about to get an on screen moniker for the first time in her career with her next film, the Tamil-Telugu bilingual Nayaki. Director Govi Goverdhan told Hans India that he used to call Trisha ‘Padayappa’ after the 1999 film starring Rajinikanth and Sivaji Ganesan. “Since she’s both our hero and heroine in the film, I was calling her that. After a point, I decided to tag Padayappa before her name in the title credits. Initially, I sent feelers to fans on social networking sites. They’ve been responding positively and are excited with the tag. That clinched the issue, once and for all,” said Govi.

When Over 1000 People Came To See Trisha

Actress Trisha Krishnan was almost mobbed on the sets of her Tamil-Telugu film Nayaki while shooting in Zaheerabad, after people from over 20 villages gathered on the sets on all four days of the shoot to catch a glimpse of her. The filmmakers found it difficult to control the crowd. However, the crew were surprised to see that the gathered people didn’t try to gatecrash and behaved well throughout the shoot. Zaheerabad is a town on the border of Telangana and Karnataka. Nearly 60 percent of Nayaki has already been completed, and the makers will soon start a month-long schedule in Hyderabad.

Trisha Illana Nayanthara Movie Review The Hindu

fter all, you’ve pretty much torched Thamizh kalaacharam with your heroines — why not gross us out all the way? Why not give us a Chennai-flavoured Porky’s or American Pie? But I wouldn’t write Adhik Ravichandran off. He has a good ear for laugh-out-loud dialogue and a good eye for the absurd. I loved the character named ‘Sengal’ Psycho — a lunatic who, for no reason, goes around pelting people with bricks. Next time, how about trying an all-out comedy?

Trisha Illana Nayanthara Movie Review Indiaglitz

As a music director G.V.Prakash stands out again with songs rightly catering to the moods of the situation. Most of them are peppy too. BGM is apt.
Cinematographer Ricahrd.M.Nathan and Editor L.Ruben have done their job neatly without leaving scope for complaints.
On the whole, ‘Trisha Illana Nayanthara’ is a treat for youngsters and may be a bitter pill for elders and puritans.
Verdict: Deserves the money and time of entertainment and fun seekers.

Trisha Illana Nayanthara Movie Review Desimartini

The first half of Trisha Illana Nayanthara is actually quite fun barring all the anti-women dialogues but the second half is a tiring ride with slow paced screenplay and prolonged climax. Had the director concentrated bit more in the second half portions, it would have been a perfect watch but now it’s just another average Tamil movie with ‘A’ jokes, which is something rare in Kollywood.

With the title carrying the names of three heroines she looks up to, a back to school Anandhi outfitted in double plaits and uniforms for the film admits expectations are riding high – ‘What if someone says Anandhi’s no Trisha? ’ Arya will have a cameo appearance, and seemed pleased with composer-actor’s dance moves in ‘Bittu Padam Di’.
