Two new songs from upcoming releases – Vasantha Mallike from Dileep-starrer Chandrettan Evideya and Nilakudame from Kunchakko-Rima starrer Chirakodinja Kinavukal – were out this week. The songs sound refreshing and the videos speak volumes of the films which are reportedly, light-veined dramas.
Prashant Pillai has composed songs for Chandrettan Evideya which is directed by Siddharth Bharathan. The film has Dileep, Namita Pramod and Anusree in the lead roles. (Read more about the film here). The song, sung by Haricharan and Preeti Pillai, features Dileep and Namitha Pramod.
The song Nilakudame, composed by Deepak Dev, is a beautiful melody sung by P Jayachandran. Interestingly, it takes on the clichés in Malayalam films. Kunchakko Boban and Rima Kallingal are seen exchanging coy glances at each other and their extremely ‘filmy’ romance (intentionally) is sure to crack you up. Directed by debutant Santhosh Viswanath, the film borrows its title from a comical sequence in 1996 flick Azhagiya Ravanan, in which actor Sreenivasan plays a novelist whose book is titled Chirakodinja Kinavukal.
