TN CM Jayalalithaa, who began her career in Tamil cinema opposite MGR, passed away recently. Jayalalitha died after a long illness on December 5; Actor, theatre artiste, political commentator and editor Cho Ramaswamy also passed away earlier today.
Crowds thronged MGR memorial in Marina Beach, where Jayalalitha was being laid to rest. She was 68.
Jayalalitha and Cho Ramaswamy were close friends and had starred together in a play Undersecretary. Cho reportedly did not know of Jayalalitha’s death at the time of his passing.
