Prabhas confirmed Prithviraj’s collaboration with him on Salaar during a press meet in Kochi on Tuesday, ahead of the release of his upcoming film Radhe Shyam. “Prithviraj sir is doing the film. We are very lucky that he accepted. He is a great actor and I am waiting to work with him,” he said.

Prabhas further added that Salaar will be a huge-commercial film. Directed by Prashanth Neel, it is produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the Hombale Films banner. Neel is best known for directing the 2018 Kannada film KGF: Chapter 1 and its upcoming sequel.

In an earlier conversation with Silverscreen India, Salaar’s publicity manager Yuvraaj said that the film will release in Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi. Producer Kiragandur had announced that Salaar would release only after Prabhas’ other pan-Indian film Radhe Shyam.

Also starring Pooja Hegde, Radhe Shyam is now all set to hit theatres this Friday. The period romantic drama from the Telugu film industry will be out in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. Set in 1970s Europe, it features Prabhas in the role of a palm-reader.

Written and directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, with dialogues by Jay Krishna, the film is produced by the UV Creations and T-Series and presented by Krishnam Raju under the Gopi Krishna Movies banner.

During the press meet on Tuesday, Prabhas said that Radhe Shyam is a love story that revolves around the war between love, time and destiny. He particularly mentioned the visual grandeur of the climax.
