Actors Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Anthony Mackie are attached to star in an upcoming action film titled Ending Things, reports Deadline.
The script by Kevin Sullivan traces the story of a hit-woman who wants out of the assassin business, and tells her business partner that she’s ending their personal relationship as well. However, she comes to realise she doesn’t want to end that part of their bond. In order to survive the breakup – and their last job together – they must join forces for one last night out.
The film, which has not been bought by any studio yet, will be produced by Davis Entertainment and Lit Entertainment, along with Inspire Entertainment and Mackie’s Make It With Gravy Productions.
This will mark the first collaboration between Chopra and Mackie.
Mackie is known for playing Sam Wilson aka Falcon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and has appeared as the new Captain America in the web series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. He is now set to return as the shield-wielding superhero in an upcoming Marvel film. His character, Falcon, took over the title after it was passed on by former Captain America, Steve Rogers (played by Chris Evans in MCU), in Avengers: Endgame.
Mackie also recently announced his directorial debut, Spark. The film will have actor Saniyya Sidney, of King Richard fame, essaying the role of Claudette Colvin. One of the unsung pioneers of the civil rights movement, Colvin was arrested at the age of 15 after she refused to give up her seat on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama. While Rosa Parks went on to become the face of the anti-racism movement in America after a similar incident, Colvin’s name was largely forgotten.
Chopra, who was last seen in The Matrix Resurrections, recently wrapped up shooting for her upcoming romantic-comedy, Text For You, as well as for the international series Citadel. She is also set to appear in the action film Cowboy Ninja Viking, opposite Chris Pratt.
