Jayam Ravi’s 25th film, Bhoomi, will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar during Pongal, on January 14, 2021. Ravi tweeted out a press release on Thursday to say that the makers of Bhoomi had planned to release the film in theatres, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, had opted for an OTT release.
Film producer and actor Udhaynidhi Stalin started to shoot for his next yet-to-be-titled film, directed by Magizh Thirumeni (who has also directed Thadam), on Friday.

The delay in the release of Naga Chaitanya’s upcoming release Savyasachi has resulted in several rumours. While the shooting of the film was wrapped up earlier last month, there are speculations saying that the filmmakers want to re-shoot key scenes.
