Prithviraj, Parvathy Sign Up For Sci-Fi Film With Jenuse Mohammed

Actors Prithviraj, Parvathy and Nithya Menen have signed up to star in Jenuse Mohammed’s upcoming film.The film marks the third collaboration between Prithviraj and Parvathy, who worked in last year’s Ennu Ninte Moideen.The film, titled Lucifer, will also have Kunchako Boban in a supporting role.  The movie will be bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor’s Aashirvad Cinemas.

Parvathy Reveals She Was A Victim Of Online Harrassment; Asks Students To Be Careful With Social media

At a recent event held at St. Teresa’s College for Women, Ernakulam, actress Parvathy revealed that she had been a victim of online harassment. “I have had encounters with online predators and stalkers. I have experienced everything that could make me someone else. I am sure I will have to face such situations in future too,” she said to the students. The actress went on to insist that women be aware of such traps and careful with the information they share with strangers on social media. She also said that young women should heed the advice of parents and other elders of the family; that they must be patient while listening to them and take their advice in the right spirit. Ernakulam MLA Hibi Eden was also present at this event.

Parvathy Interview: ‘My Characters Are Important. Not Me’

She feels that it’s not caste names of any religion, but a person’s upbringing and character that matters. “I realised that and I wanted to practice that in real life,” she says.Unlike other heroines, Parvathy isn’t interested in playing a hero’s ‘love interest’. “I was so happy to play Kamal Haasan’s daughter in Uttama Villain.

Parvathy Nair In Pirai Thediya Naatkal

Actress Parvathy Nair has been cast as one of the female leads in Pirai Thediya Naatkal, which also stars actor Ashok Selvan.Further, a TOI report has confirmed that Telugu actress Ritu Varma will join the lead cast along with Ashok Selvan and Parvathi Nair.Shooting of Pirai Thediya Naatkal will begin in September and the team will be travelling to Nepal to can some important portions.

Parvathy Nair Talks About Uttama Villain

Model and former Miss Karnataka, Parvathy Nair will be playing a key role in Uttama Villain. She plays the love interest of Kamal Haasan’s son in the flick. Recounting the bizarre incident that led to her being a part of the film, Parvathy said, “My pictures were sent to the Uttama Villain team by someone whom I didn’t know. I was shooting for an ad in the place where Uttama Villain was also being filmed. Somebody phoned and called me for an audition.” The actress thought that she was being fooled and inquired if Uttama Villain crew was indeed in the same house. After verifying, she appeared for the audition the same night. “I was told by the ADs that many actresses had tried for my role. I was pleased to learn that I was chosen after Kamal Haasan saw many other artistes. To me, being selected for the role in itself is a great achievement. And I have heard that Kamal Haasan is choosy about his cast.” The day after the audition, she was asked to join Gauthami to pick up clothes for herself. “That’s when I got to know that I made it. Everything still looks surreal,” laughed Parvathy.

Arya and Parvathy in Nambiar

Arya and Parvathy Omanakuttan will make a special appearance in Nambiar. Actor Srikanth, who plays the lead, confirmed that Arya agreed to star in the movie without giving it a second thought. “We wanted someone to play the role of the protagonist’s close friend, and I thought of Arya immediately. He has been one of my close friends since our school days,” said Srikanth, whose wife Vandana is producing Nambiar. “Despite offering monetary benefits to act in Nambiar, Arya refused to accept it. I am so lucky to have a friend like him. He is really humble,” added Srikanth. The actor also revealed that Parvathy Omanakuttan is a “great friend” as well and that she will be paired opposite Arya in Nambiar.

Parvathy Nair Stars in Uttama Villain

Apparently Kamal Haasan’s Uttama Villain features two actresses named Parvathi(y). There is Parvathi Menon of Maryan fame essaying the role of Jayaram’s daughter in the film. And now, we hear Parvathy Nair (last seen in Nimirndhu Nil) will be playing a 19-year-old and is all set to romance debutant actor Ashwin. Currently, the scenes featuring the duo are being shot in Bangalore. Starring Kamal Haasan in dual roles, Uttama Villain’s star cast includes Andrea, Pooja Kumar, Urvashi, Nasser, K Balachander and K Vishawanath among others. It is expected to hit theatres this August.
