Actor Dhruv Vikram announced on Friday that he would be teaming up for a new Tamil film with filmmaker Mari Selvaraj. Mari Selvaraj’s debut directorial was the award-winning Pariyerum Perumal, which was produced by filmmaker Pa Ranjith.
Actor Dhanush said that he has sung a song for AR Rahman for his upcoming Hindi film Atrangi Re and shared a picture with the music composer on Friday.

The shoot of Dhanush-Akshay Kumar-Sara Ali Khan starrer Atrangi Re has commenced on Thursday morning. Helmed by Tanu Weds Manu and Zero fame director Aanand L Rai, the film is being bankrolled by Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar’s T Series, Aanand L Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions Pvt Ltd and Akshay Kumar’s Cape of Good Films.
Dhanush starrer D40 has now been titled Jagamae Thanthiram. The first look and motion poster have just been unveiled by the makers.
The much-awaited Dhanush starrer D40 has finally wrapped up shooting on Monday evening. Helmed by director Karthik Subbaraj, the film is being jointly bankrolled by S Sashikanth and Chakravarthy Ramachandra for YNot Studios and by Reliance Entertainment. The film marks the first association of the actor with the director.
Vikram Prabhu, Shanthnu Bhagyaraj, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Madonna Sebastian starrer Vaanam Kottattum hits screens today. Vikram’s new film Mahavir Karna started shoot in Hyderabad yesterday. Said to be one of the most expensive films in cinema, Mahavir Karna is directed by RS Vimal, whose only other direction was the Malayalam film Ennu Ninte Moideen in 2015.

Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran has reportedly walked out of the Kamala Das biopic, titled Aami, starring Manju Warrier, recommending Tovino Thomas in his stead. According to The Hindustan Times, Prithviraj, owing to his busy schedule, decided to back out as he is a part of several other projects.
