Saaho’s first look generated quite a buzz when it was released on Prabhas’ birthday. However, people soon released that the poster bears a striking similarity with Ryan Gosling’s recently released thriller, Blade Runner 2049.
The first look of Prabhas starrer, Saaho, was unveiled today by its makers on the actor’s birthday.
Prabhas began the shoot in mid-week of August and the latest to join the team is Neil Nitin Mukesh, who plays the antagonist in this multi-lingual film. After spending five years of his career on the Baahubali franchise, actor Prabhas has now joined the upcoming multi-lingual action film Saaho.
Director Sujeeth had been keen on roping in a top Bollywood actress, and the makers had reportedly approached Deepika Padukone, Parineeti Chopra and Amy Jackson.Saaho producers UV Creations have announced that actress Shraddha Kapoor will join Prabhas in the lead cast.Earlier, Prabhas’ Baahubali co-star Anushka Shetty was to play the female lead, but left the team due to scheduling conflicts.
According to Indian Express, the actor has been roped in to share screen space with Prabhas in the film.Neil Nitin Mukesh and Chunky Pandey are the only other actors confirmed to be a part of the film.Saaho is Prabhas’s first film after the Baahubali franchise.When contacted however, the film’s director Sujeeth refused to confirm or deny the reports.
Anushka Shetty is reportedly not a part of Prabhas’s next film – Saaho. Rumours were rife that the actress would be paired with her Baahubali co-star again. However, a Deccan Chronicle report suggests that Anushka will not be a part of the project owing to not having enough free dates.

Anushka Shetty will join her Baahubali co-star Prabhas in the lead cast of the action film Saaho. While Katrina Kaif and Shraddha Kapoor were being considered for the role, the filmmakers have finalised on Anushka Shetty.
Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh, who is best known for his roles as the villain, especially in Vijay’s Kaththi (2014), has reportedly been roped in to play the villain in Prabhas’ next Telugu film, Saaho. According to a DNA India report, Neil is the second artiste to be signed for a role in the multilingual film which is being directed by Sujeeth.
Katrina Kaif is reportedly the likely choice to star in Prabhas’ next – Saaho. According to a Times of India report, director Sujeeth is keen on having a top Bollywood actress in his multilingual film.
The makers had reportedly approached Deepika Padukone, Parineeti Chopra and Amy Jackson, before narrowing it down to Katrina Kaif, stating that she was apt for the role. The sci-fi thriller will be made in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil.
Meanwhile, Prabhas, whose recent success in Baahubali 2 has made him one of the biggest stars from South Indian cinema, is currently holidaying in the US.
Katrina is currently in Abu Dhabi with Salman Khan, shooting for Tiger Zinda Hai and is also gearing up for the release of of Anurag Basu’s Jagga Jasoos. She recently came on board for Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan.

The teaser for Prabhas’s next movie, Saaho, was expected to release along with Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. However, as per a report in the Deccan Chronicle, the 30-second teaser has been leaked online and is now available on several social media platforms. Meanwhile, some scenes and footage from Baahubali 2 have reportedly also been leaked.
Actor Prabhas will next be seen in a trilingual titled Saaho.
