Hip Hop Tamizha’s Aadhi revealed in a recent interview that it was director Sundar C who egged him on to make his acting debut.  “As an independent artiste and composer, I was happy directing music videos.I had directed a music video on the ban on Jallikattu, and it was after seeing my work that Sundar sir insisted that I act,” said Adhi, and added that it was around the same time, he was working on a story.

Nikesha Patel In 100 Degree Celsius Remake

Nikesha Patel is in talks to play one of the leads in the upcoming 100 Degree Celsius remake. The Tamil- Telugu bilingual, to be directed by Mithran Jawahar, will feature four leading actresses. Raai Laxmi has already been roped in for one of the lead roles, sources said. Talks are on with Trisha Krishnan to essay one of these leads. Reports indicate that Nivetha Pethuraj of Oru Naal Koothu fame is also in the running for one of the roles.

Sonam Sood Wants Prabhu Deva To Direct Tutak Tutak Tutiya Sequel

Director Vijay’s trilingual Tutak Tutak Tutiya released in Hindi, Tamil (as Devi(L)) and Telugu (as Abhinetri) last week to mostly positive reviews. Actor Sonu Sood, who produced the Hindi version, has expressed his interest to make a sequel with Prabhu Deva and Tamannaah, who starred in the horror comedy. He added that the sequel will be directed by Prabhu Deva and will be shot in Punjab and London.

Nayaki Failed in Telugu Because Of Lack of Promotion, Says Director Goverdhan

Director Goverdhan Reddy aka Govi  said in an interview that his film Nayaki failed at the Telugu box office owing to lack of promotion. Nayaki, starring Trisha in the lead role, is a horror comedy made both in Telugu and Tamil. The telugu version of the film released on the 15 July and was panned alike by critics and audiences, and was a box office failure.

KS Ravikumar And Saranya Ponvannan In Suriya’s Next With Vignesh Shivan

Actor Suriya had recently confirmed his next project with director Vignesh Shivan. The project is tentatively titled Suriya35 and the latest addition to its cast are director-actor KS Ravikumar, and actress Saranya Ponvannan. They have been roped in to play Suriya’s parents in the film. The remaining cast is yet to be finalized. The music will be scored by Anirudh Ravichander.

Actor Suriya will team up with Naanum Rowdy Dhaan director Vignesh Shivan for a new film. This project will mark Suriya’s 35th film and will be produced by KE Gnanavel Raja under his Studio Green banner. Anirudh Ravichander has been signed on to compose the songs. Reports indicate that this film might be a bi-lingual, like Suriya’s 24, 7am Arivu.

Vikram & Hari Will Team Up For Saamy 2

Hari will direct Saamy 2, the sequel to the cult cop film Saamy. Vikram, who played a Deputy Commissioner of Police in the first film, will star in Saamy 2 as well. The announcement was made at the launch of Iru Mugan’s audio. Produced by Shibu Thameens, Saamy 2 will have music by Harris Jayaraj and cinematography by Priyan. There was no confirmation on whether Trisha Krishnan would be a part of the film.

Nayaki Review: Stereotypical Horror and Sleazy Writing Make For A Ghost Of A film

Nayaki, director Govi Govardhan wanted us to believe, was centred around Trisha Krishnan.  It was supposed to be the actor’s first attempt at a woman-centric film, her Maya.  But in the actual movie, Trisha appears her immaculately coiffed self in some scenes, a gorgeous blue-grey zombie in others; there is a faux-sad backstory, a sloppily executed revenge-dance and several costume changes.
