Actress Poorna will play an important role in NV Nirmal Kumar’s Sathuranga Vettai 2, produced by Manobala. Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Poorna said, “I play Arvind Swami’s wife in this heist film and I will be joining the sets from the last week of December. I am on cloud nine right now as I am going to share screen space with my childhood crush! When he quit films, I was so disappointed thinking that I wouldn’t get to act with him. Now, with Sathuranga Vettai 2 in my bag, my dreams have come true.”

Gautham Menon has hinted in an interview with the Hindu that his next film will feature the protagonists of his 2010 film Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya, Karthik and Jessie. Shooting began for Suriya’s Thaana Serndha Kootam on Wednesday, with a small pooja in Chennai.
